This isn't a new learning experience for me. I understand the District Attorney’s obligations and responsibilities to protect citizens and to represent the police.
Being District Attorney is challenging, hard work which requires the experience and sound judgment I have. For 42 years I have been a successful prosecutor and trial attorney.
I graduated from UMO in 1970 with a BA in Economics and received my JD from the University of Maine School of Law in 1976 after serving my initial active military duty. I served as an Army officer for 28 years with the 82nd Airborne Division, commanded two drill sergeant companies, was the S1/Adjutant for an Infantry Battalion and the 1011st USARF School, and then taught leadership, personnel, financial management and problem solving at Fort Leavenworth, KS
I live in Dedham with my wife, Andrea, along with our 5 1/2 year old Australian Shepherd (Portia) and ten week old Belgian Tiger/Maine Coon kitten (Bella) while our five children are scattered all along the East Coast.
